I'm looking forward to seeing how much improvement the Chicago Bulls have with the addition of the heart and soul of the Det. Pistons...Ben Wallace. And how the Pistons recover from that loss...I have no doubt with the front office the Pistons have, and the Team, there wont be much of a drop off...But I'm interested to see what Ben will do for the Bulls...I'm thinking they will show a Marked improvement.

Song for NBA season opener intro on TNT?

Does anyone know the song played in the 2007 season opener intro on TNT?

Here is the link.

Song for NBA season opener intro on TNT?basketball tickets

Wow that's a tough one

Song for NBA season opener intro on TNT?nba warriors ,nba teams

no, but tick tick boom is a good song for sports
what i want - is the better song
baum chicka wah wah.

If the NBA season were shortened by 3 months, would anyone care?

Look at the pathetic ratings. No one cares about the NBA. It should end right after the NCAA tournament.

If the NBA season were shortened by 3 months, would anyone care?nba champs

but that means we'd be left with more boring baseball! And really you cannot be a non basketball fan to answer this because obviously you wouldn't want it so there would be more coverage of your favourite sport. This shouldn't even be posted in the basketball area because you are obviously not a basketball fan and neither are any of those that agree with you. It is like if I went to the baseball section and posted "I think all baseball stadiums should be burnt down, would you care?"

If the NBA season were shortened by 3 months, would anyone care?basketball shoes ,nba teams

Ppl will still watch thier home team.

Rating sucks during playoffs because those 2 teams are boring and are not good teams to have ppl jumping the bandwagons for
I would care.

But MLB just drones on and on and on. Nobody really gives a rat's furry behind until October.
The NBA shortened the season by about 2 months like eight years ago and the Lakers coach Phil Jackson seemed to care the following year as he started yelling "Asterisk, Asterisk, Asterisk".
i wouldent care if they never again started an nba season
I certainly would not care....can't recall watching a single game in a couple of years.
No, then there would be more legal trouble and babies from the NBA players. Keep the players busy with the NBA....
3 months isnt enough......and i thought i was the only one who didnt care for basketball anymore.....i have only watched one game since the 98 and the only reason i did watch it is because i made a bet
yeah i agree. and if you shorten it....in that short NBA time players will get to relax when they have off time but then play as hard as they can during the season cause its shorter and they dont get so exhausted. i think it would be nice to have playoffs near march madness final four.
Good question. In the nba and nhl almost everyone makes the playoffs anyway. You have to really suck not to make it.
I would care. I really enjoy the season too. The NBA is just exciting basketball. The athleticism is ridiculous and there's a show put on each and every week. Plus, it's the regular season that I use to evaluate my team and predict how they'll do later.
they would lose too much money and teams would probably have to be removed.
most people wouldn't care but I would because my league pass lol
I would welcome it. That way I wouldn't have to hear about it as much on ESPN.

Doesnt this '07-08 NBA season seem like a mess?

well the celtics are the biggest/oldest surprise of the year because well we all knew this championship team was coming after ray allen and kg got traded..okay then there are the pistons-they always do great..but after those 2 east seeds, their records really suck compared to the west..i mean the cavs: 41-31? wtf they suck! and they are in the playoffs still? the rest of the east records are disgusting as well..the miami heat who won a champioship not even 2 years ago are now facing the lottery with what 12 wins? thats a true disgrace!

in the west, the mavericks who hav been awesome [in reg season] the past 7 years are suddenly fighting for their lives to gain a potential playoff spot...they had a historic 67 win season and now 7th seed this year with their best player injured...and now suddenly all top west teams are struggling to keep their playoff seeds because a 3 game losing streak can place you at 10th seed...doesnt this seem very messy and wierd!?

Doesnt this '07-08 NBA season seem like a mess?nba street

I wouldn't call it a mess, I understand what you are talking about, a 50 win team who would be 3rd or 4th in the east could miss the playoffs if they are in the west, it's crazy.

A team in the west going through a little 3 game winning streak could fall out of the playoffs even though they were like the 2nd seed before.

And check out the east, Celtics, great, Pistons, always been great, Magic, pretty good.

Starting at the Cavs, like you said, they suck, so one conference is just awesome, while the other just can't match up.

Doesnt this '07-08 NBA season seem like a mess?nba news ,nba teams

YEEEESSS

i wish lakers are first.

but the east have it easy, west doesnt
well this section of yahoo answers are a mess right now. very boring,no good questions or answers. i come on this board looking for humor but right now it's very serious and boring
It is no surprise how the mavs are doing since the kidd trade, they suck. What really surprises me is that a team in the will win 50 and go home after the regular season.
march madness of NBA
It's actually great. Parity has been good for the league. In the west New Orleans has been pleasant to watch. All the trades that has happened. I hate L.A., but having them back as championship contenders again is fun. Shaq and Kobe as opposites in the same division makes for upcoming interesting drama. 9 teams separated by 3 to 4 games for 8 playoffs spots. Houston's winning streak. Denver's high scoring assault. Utah's precision offensive attack. Golden State's electricity. Those scrappy Dallas Mavericks who aren't going to give up without Dirk...Oh! And lets not forget...The San Antonio Spurs for being...well...The San Antonio Spurs.

In the east, we have the Boston Celtics after years of futility are back with the best record in the league. The Pistons who seem to be the only team that can beat Boston are better than last season. Orlando who is better than last year. Philadelphia who is on a tear and seems like a team who can shake things up in the east come playoff time. Chris Bosh who is back with Toronto. And don't forget Cleveland, for some strange reason Cleveland apparently "sucked" last season but they still made through Detroit and on to the finals.

These teams dont suck. They are just beating up on each other. It's parity. It's great. It's the way basketball in April and May should be...with no clear cut favorite to win it all. I love it.
well the Miami heat played well 2 years ago because of SHAQ. He was thhe most dominating player in the NBA! Dwayne wade played better in in 2005 and 2006 but now he isn't that great but he is still pretty good.

KG would have a big impact on the celtics with pierce but I wouldn't compare Ray allen a superstar. Jason Kapono, 3 point foot locker consecutive champion leads the league with 3 point percentage goals , according to stats he's way better than Allen but just because he is older has more expierence and is considered the 3rd best player on the best team doesn't mean he is that great.

I don't know why he was in the 08 all star game.

The Mavs have obviously had problems due to their franchise player Nowitzki and Jason Kidd, who WAS right behind Steve Nash is now 4th in the league according to assists.

As for the cavs, lebron james has become a one man show, no matter how great he is, he still needs to play as a team.

Either that, or his teammates just suck.

And the West hasbeen pretty vigorous latel due to the Suns, spurs, Lakers and especially the Rockets because of their 22 game winning streak. Kobe I guess has finally matured and has decided to play as a team which made them one of the best in the West.

Bryant should definetly deserve MVP this year, How could the future jordan who has been in the league for more than a decade not win a single MVP award?

cuz he was a ball hog.

But now I thiink he finally deserves it

Anyway, I hope this helped.
not a mess dude, its fun. trades, teams changing on the go, wild teams like GS and NO doing well, mark cuban getting close to suicidal, who could ask for more?
Well as a Lakers fan i can careless about seedings as long as the Lakers are a 100% heathy nobody can beat them!!Plus the NBA wants a Celtics vs Lakers Finals so watch all the good calls go there way come playoffs time!!

Sorry about your Mav's they will be on the outside looking in come playoff time!!But hey some good can come from this !!This years draft should very deep!!So with any luck at all they should get a good player!!So keep your head up!!Anything can happen when the ping pong balls drop!!
It wont be like this next year

If the NBA season were to end tommorow who would get MVP? 6th Man? Most Improved?

Heres what I think

Most Improved

Carlos Boozer (gotta be)

6th Man

Leandro Barbosa

MVP

Kobe Bryant

oh and by the way please dont say it is to early in the season to tell... because remember If the season ends tommorow.....

If the NBA season were to end tommorow who would get MVP? 6th Man? Most Improved?nba scores

Most Improved: Luke Walton

I mean the guy went from a bench warmer last season, to a significant starting SF. He leads the league right now in 3pt% and is averaging 12.7 points.

6th Man: Leandro Barbosa

I would agree, he has really come off the bench to help the Suns since Nash is playing less minutes now. And the Suns are playing out of their minds right now.

MVP: Carmelo Anthony

Now I love Kobe and I'm a Lakers fan, but he isn't MVP this season, especially since coming off his injury. Carmelo is just playing great, scoring and leading his team to a bunch of wins since the loss of Kenyon Martin. The Nuggets would be nothing without Melo.

If the NBA season were to end tommorow who would get MVP? 6th Man? Most Improved?nba 07 ,nba teams

I agree with the 6th man and most improved in barbosa and boozer but the mvp...Steve Nash

how can you not go for him? the guy has improved his numbers from last year and is still doing things no one in the nba can do
Most Improved: JR Smith

6th Man Barbosa

MVP: Kobe

Comeback Player: Boozer
how is kobe myp?? itd, unfortunately, have to be boozer.

myp could also be tim duncan or dwight howard!
mip: jr smith hes one of the main reasons that melo is doin so good

6th man:barbosa

mvp: has to be steve nash i mean the man is just lightin every one up
MVP - Steve Nash

Most Improved - Carlos Boozer

Sixth Man - Leandro Barbosa

Other Awards:

Coach of the Year: Jerry Sloan

NBA ***** Champs: Phoenix Suns
most improved don't know yet

6th man don't know either

but MVP it's Melo he's been doin things for the nuggets and second in the league in scoring but kobe for MVP? man that sucks if he becomes the MVP this season i'll let him battle me one on one and i'll kick his black *** down the court! kobe sucks!
Are you crazy??? Right now here's my list...

Most Improved

Zach Randolph... Portland, no one can stop him...

6th Man

Gotta give it to Devin Harris on Dallas, he's doing big things.

For the MVP

I hate to say it but right now it's gotta be Steve Nash, the guys outta control with assists and points. He makes everyone around him better.
most improved

stein for coming to his senses and changing the balls

6th man

doc rivers for everyother team

exec of the year

isiah thomas, for his good work for every other team

MVP, MIP, etc,

Chris Paul, crap team, top dog, carrying them.
i agree with your pick 4 sixth man and most improved

but MVP should go to caremlo or joe johnson

NBA Season So Far!?

List 3 teams for each category and tell why you placed them there.

1)They're doing as well as I thought they would.

2) Just as expected, they are not winning.

3) Another loss...what is going on with this team?

4)Look at their winning %. The surprise team of the season!

NBA Season So Far!?nba betting

1.) Boston - I don't know that I need to explain this a whole lot

New Orleans- The pieces are fitting together, with Peja back they are doing amazing

Houston - The Rick Adleman offense fits and T-Mac is staying healthy

2.) Miami - Old and serviceable without D-Wade, but nothing more, and that doesn't win games

Seattle - I did expect them to lose, but not this badly, anyways, Carlesimo is trying to force feed Durant, comon, he's just a rookie

Philadelphia - Not a lot of bright spots on this team, and the usual ones aren't really shining

3.) Chicago - This team was supposed to be a stud, I guess Kobe rumors and Ben Wallace's age are shaking them up a little

Washington - I have no idea what's going on, Arenas, Butler, and Jamison are all there. Arenas is struggling though. I think they just lose focus.

Golden State - Now I didn't think they'd win all their games, but losing all of them? I guess Stephen Jackson does make a difference

4.)Portland - I guess loss of Oden didn't hurt them as much as people thought, and, Martell Webster.

LA Clippers - I guess Tim Thomas plays well under pressure and Sam Cassell is trying to pull the agelessness of Jason Kidd

Toronto - I really don't know what everyone sees in this team...

NBA Season So Far!?nba fantasy ,nba teams

1) boston, spurs, suns (cause they're killing everybody)

2)heat, knicks, atlanta (heat is ancient, knick are nuts, and atlanta is still atlanta)

3)wizards (arenas needs to step up and drop 45 on somebody)

4)blazers (brandon roy is a best, watch out next year with the big fella on board)
Boston

Seattle

Knicks(hate thomas and selffish marbury)

Blazers(only 4-3 but has beaten dallas and detroit)
Boston

Cleveland
1) Orlando Magic

2) Golden State Warriors

3) Chicago Bulls

4) Lakers...they are 3-3 against opponents who are combined 31-14 this season. Lakers have faced the toughest schedule so far of any team in the NBA and will be facing tough competition for another 14 games.
1) The Celtics. they have the big three %26amp; there chemistry on the court is great. each player is playing there role perfectly and none of those players are selfish. The Rockets. t-mac is on mission so far this year. yao is playing well too. rick adlemen's system is working well for the rockets. if they stay healthy they will get past the first round. San Antonio. there the defending champs.

2) Golden State Warriors. they should not have gotten rid of jason richardson, the only player on there team that is really good is baron davis %26amp; warriors fans better hope and pray he stays healthy. Seattle. give them a couple of years. kevin durant will get better, but not this year. Minnesota. they got rid of kg.

3) Miami Heat. with out dwayne wade this team is not even decent. i thought they would have more than one win by now. Chicago Bulls. i think if they had finished the season ahead of cleveland to be #2 they would have been in the nba finals instead. they will get better as the season gets older. with are without a kobe trade. Cleveland Cavs. im not surprised by there record, but i thought they would be a little better.

4) New Orleans. chris paul is playing great. the nucleus of the team is almost perfect. if they avoid injury they could be this years golden state. Orlando Magic. i knew they would be better with rashard lewis, but they may be the second best team in the east.
1) Toronto Raptors

2) Washington Wizards

3) Chicago Bulls

4) Atlanta Hawks (not for winning %, but how well they've been playing)

Next NBA season?

I think it's too early to tell right now.

But from my standpoint, there will be a revival in basketball history.

You know what I'm saying.

Kings, Lakers, Warriors, Blazers, Spurs, Mavs, Utah, and Suns.

Celtics , Washington , Raptors , Magic , Bulls(yes, bulls), Detroit, Cleveland.

It's all repeating itself back.

Unlike the past years, it's always been the Spurs, Pistons, Mavs, Suns.

I can't wait to see what will happen next season, it's all coming back to where it started. Those teams that once made noise in the playoffs. Those "playoff years" where the ratings are very high., and it's a "Finals-type" of first-round.

Here's my standings for next year:

WC:

1a Spurs

1b Lakers

3 Maverick

4 Suns

5 Kings

6 Utah

7 Warriors

8 Blazers

EC:

1a Celtics

1b Pistons

3 Magic

4 Cleveland

5 Bulls

6 Raptors

7 Washington

8 New Jersey

Do you agree? What are your thoughts for the next season?

Next NBA season?nba league pass

I would have to agree with you, the next NBA season seems to be setting its self up to be a good one, although there are a few changes i would make to your standings.

West:

1a. Lakers

1b. Mavericks

3. Suns

4. Spurs

5. Jazz

6a. Kings

6b. Hornets

8a. Warriors

8b. Blazers

East:

1a. Celtics

1b. Pistons

3. Magic

4. Cavs

5. Raptors

6. Wizards

7. Nets

8. Bulls

The western conference is going to be even more of a powerhouse than it has been in recent memory, with so many good players unhappy with where they are, you might see them move to "contenders", many of which are in the west.

And for everyone who says the Kings are going to suck next year, they have so many good players this year that are finally coming around and players that are great bargaining pieces, that it would be very idiotic to count them out of next years playoff race in the west.

Next NBA season?nba tv ,nba teams

SPURS ARE TOO OLD..

LAKERS ARE GONNA TAKE IT!!!!!..

you must be a KINGs fan.. cuz theyre gonna SUCK next year!!!!!!
i agree but kings is not going to make it no artest, bibby
Blazers #8 next year with the arrival of Big Greg.... put them up at least to #5.
Too early to tell. Way to early. Trades, drafts, free agency, injuries. All these things will unfold between now and the playoffs next year and they can all effect a team very seriously.

Also, to the guy above. Artest and Bibby are playing pretty well. I'm pretty sure that Artest will be traded before the deadline and Mike may also go but anything Sac gets for Artest will likely improve the team since he's a huge pain in the a$s on and off the court. He also slows down the offense hinders the development of the younger guys like Kevin Martin who will one day be among the best in the NBA. Trust that.

Getting rid of Bibby doesn't make the team better but freeing up all that money he's making sure would if you use it to pick up a big time free agent and that's their plan.
1. Lakers

2. Suns

3.Spurs

4. Mavs

5. Jazz

6. Hornets

7.Blazers

8. Nuggets (remember them as the #8 seed with Mutumbo beating the sonics in the 1st rd)

East:

1. Boston

2. Pistons

3. Magic

4. Raptors

5. Cavs

6. Bulls

7. Wizards

8. Bobcats (laugh, but they are young and can only get better haha)
I agree with almost everything. Where are the New Orlean Hornets. They have the third best record in the NBA. I don't think they'll go away that quickly.

What is a Baby Cortez Stingray
