Best NBA season in ... a while?

you have everybody fighting for spots in the west. the 8th seed is only like 4.5 games back from the Lakers. you have the boston celtics going from awful to .. incredible. rockets winning 20 straight... ( and not even in first place in the west ) all the trades.. shaq to the suns (interested to see how that turns out) mvp race.. kobe .. lebron maybe chris paul.. kg

anyway.. havent seen the nba doing so well and been so interesting in a while

I agree, think about how this year had trades that changed everything (Celtics, Lakers) and even some that changed a lot (Cavs, Suns). The thought of the top team right now in the west not even making the playoffs is just mind-boggling and so fun to watch! I hope the Rockets at least beat the Bobcats so we can see them take on the Lakers on TV. Oh, that would be so cool.

And yeah, the MVP race. Usually, by now the media has somehow chosen one by now, but guess what, it's really wide open. Kobe and LeBron are the obvious ones, but yeah, Chris Paul or KG or a bunch of others like Iverson or even T-Mac! Who knows??? This should be fun, I hope the playoffs are really good this year with lots of game 7s.

Agreed. All the blockbuster trades, i think there are about a total of 50 players who have moved to another team just this season. Plus the tight race in the west is another reason almost every game is a nail biter (at least for the top teams). On the east we have a monster Celtics team, CP3, Howard and of course LBJ. Let's not forget a potential matchup between the Lakers and the Celtics in the finals. All in all, a very exciting season.
for me the best was the rivalry season of the lakers and kings.... one of the best season ever.... but its also a great season this year!!!

The regular season is awesomely interesting because of the Western race - nothing to do with the Eastern Conference though - not enough depth there.
Yes, the top 8 teams out West have 40 wins already and all have a good shot at 50. Four teams in the East have a shot at 50 (Boston, Detroit, Cleveland will get it. Toronto maybe). I predict at least 4 1st round upsets. Orlando could get beat in the 1st round and Phoenix, Dallas, and the giant-killer warriors could win in the 1st round depending on their match-ups. Who knows what else could happen!
