Guess who will be this year 2006-2007 season NBA MVP?!?

I think its hard because it could be Nash or Nowitzki but for now I think it is Dirk because they both average a double double this season and dallas leads the west and the standings on NBA...

That is a hard question. It depends on your definition of MVP(the player most valuable to their team or the best player in the league in general.) Dirk is the leader of the best team in the NBA (the Mavs) and he is avg over 25 ppg and over 9.5. reb., while Nash numbers are up from both his MVP seasons. Nash has more All-Stars to work with than Dirk (Marion and Stoudemire -vs- Howard:a West Alternate), however Nash is less expendable than Dirk on his team (the 1-3 record to Sub .500 teams without Nash before the All Star Break.) Since I think it is a stalemate between them, the MVP should go to Dirk, because Dirk actually plays defense with Avery Johnson at the helm -vs- Nash and D'Antoni's system with the Suns.

Dirk Nowitzki
It is either going to be Dirk or Nash. Nash is still the better player at his position because no other point guard is better than him. Averaging almost 11 assists and 20 points is amazing. Dirk is averaging a double-double as well, but I can name at least 5 other power forwards who are averaging a double-double. Nash is the only point guard with a double-double. The probability of him winning a 3rd in a row is slim, but he still has the best chance.
It will be Dirk this year. His numbers are better than Nash's (avg double-double points %26amp; rebounds), and is leading his team to the league's best record.

Nash is a nice player but 3-time MVP? I don't think so. Even Michael Jordan, arguably the best player EVER didn't win back-to back-to back MVPs.

The odds are against Nash winning it again this year.
I guess Dirk because the Mavs are going to have the leagues best record. Nash and the Suns will have the second best record.
steve nash or gilbert areanas
Dirk Nowitzki
neal,anthony
This is not even a discussion. Nash should easily walk away with his third award in a row. He is averaging career highs, and once again many of his teammates are averaging career highs because of him. He is their heart and soul. Their leader. Look when he went out for a couple games around all star break, the team couldn't win without him steering the ship. What he does that doesn't show up on the stat sheets is unmatched. So I can't see how you can deny him after giving him the first two. He is also a great ambassador to the game. You can't say that he doesnt play defense because thats not his job, nor is it in their game plan. They know this, and this is why they outscore their opponents. And to say that dirk doesnt play with anyone is non sense. Jason terry, howard, they are allstar caliber. Just because they aren't exciting to watch don't mean their not all stars. all stars are chosen because they want to be seen.
Dirk will probobly get it this year for leading his team to the best record. I don't think the voters will give Nash a 3rd in a row.
Either Dirk Nowitzki or Steve Nash. But I think I'd go with Dirk with this one considering the fact that the Suns don't look so impressive in their last few wins while the Mavs continue to win games with greater point difference.
I don't need to guess... I know it will be Steve Nash
I think you dont need to ask because you could see it coming.Dirk is going to win because he has led his team to the best record in the NBA and he is having a career year, statistically speaking.Nash is a strong candidate for that award but I think the media panel would be too reluctant to award him the trophy for 3 years straight so that makes Dirk the best and only candidate for the award, because other players dont seem to be worth for the trophy except for Nash.
